Committed to Black Rhino Conservation As Africa’s leading ecotourism company, CC Africa remains deeply committed to making a significant long-term contribution to the conservation of wild landscapes and biodiversity. As the black rhino (a shy animal at best; somewhat grumpy at worst) has been under threat for many years, CC Africa is proud to report, that with current conservation efforts, the population is increasing, and another black rhino calf was recently born at Phinda. The birth of this new calf brings the number of black rhino births on Phinda land to three! The highly endangered black rhino was introduced to Phinda in October 2004 and the Reserve is now home to 21 of these endangered animals. |
